Demonstrates steady global growth, progressing from $1 million in 2022 to $5 million this year
Ildong Bioscience, a health functional food specialist under Ildong Pharmaceutical Group, announced that it received the "$5 Million Export Tower" at the 62nd Trade Day awards ceremony.
The "Export Tower" is an award presented by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) to recognize companies and organizations that have contributed to pioneering overseas markets, expanding exports, and creating jobs, aiming to encourage their business activities.
Ildong Bioscience has shown consistent achievements in the global sector, reaching the "$5 Million Export Tower" this year, following the "$1 Million" award in 2022, "$2 Million" in 2023, and "$3 Million" in 2024.
In particular, the company is receiving a positive response in healthcare markets such as the U.S., Europe, China, and Southeast Asia. This success is driven by its self-developed probiotic and postbiotic raw materials, functional ingredients, and patented quadruple-coating technology that enhances stability.
Additionally, the company meets global market standards with certifications including U.S. self-affirmed GRAS, Health Canada NHP registration, and Halal and Kosher certifications. Leveraging its top-tier domestic probiotics manufacturing infrastructure, Ildong Bioscience is actively expanding its business in Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), Original Design Manufacturing (ODM), and raw material supply.
On the same day, alongside the company’s receipt of the "$5 Million Export Tower," Oh Dong-hoon, Team Leader of the Bio Business Team at Ildong Bioscience, was also honored with the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation for his contributions to pioneering global markets and revitalizing business.
