ISO 45001 Certification for Environmental Safety and Health

ILDONG Bioscience, a health functional food business affiliate of ILDONG Pharmaceutical group, announced that the company had acquired the safety and health management system ‘ISO 45001’ certification along with the renewal of the environmental management system ‘ISO 14001’ certification.

ISO 14001 is an international standard for environmental management system established by ISO(International Standard Organization) and contains all environmental requirements, systems, and guidelines that companies or organizations should consider in promoting their activities.

ISO 45001 is an international standard that prescribes requirements and guidelines to predict and prevent various risks that may occur in the workplace in advance, induce safety and health within the organization to contribute to achieving goals.

ILDONG Bioscience stated that they are focusing on establishing environmental, health and safety management policies based on PDCA(plan-do-check-act) by raising the awareness of all company members including the board members.

In addition, the company is putting in a great deal of effort in, improving and expanding purification facilities, monitoring and reducing energy consumption, adopting a work permit system, operating an internal monitoring and reviewing system, analyzing and solving risk factors, promoting activities to strengthen workplace sanitation.

An official member from ILDONG Bioscience said “ESG(Environment Social Governance) management must be accompanied in order for a company to maintain sustainability and create social value. We are planning to advance the systems such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 with empowering ESG management”.
