ILDONG Bioscience's Latest Safety Publication on Lactobacillus bulgaricus IDCC 3601

We are excited to announce the recent publication of a scientific paper detailing the safety assessment of Lactobacillus bulgaricus IDCC 3601, a strain isolated from homemade yogurt. This strain has also achieved GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) status in the United States, further solidifying its safety for human consumption.

The study demonstrated that L. bulgaricus IDCC 3601 does not harbor any harmful virulence or transferable antibiotic resistance genes. The strain showed no production of biogenic amines, no hemolytic activity, and passed toxicity assessments in animal models. It was also proven to exhibit antibacterial activity against carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae, showing potential benefits beyond typical probiotic functions.
